Great Work Akron

Sabertooth had the pleasure of creating this vibrant floral design to represent Great Work Employment Service’s mission.

At the center of the mural and true to their name we have a sunflower growing towards the light. Sunflowers have been a symbol of hope and joy for centuries, wit their bright yellow petals symbolizing optimism and happiness.

The center of the sunflower is designed based off of a polymer molecule. Organic polymers are macromolecules composed of many repeating units (much like the triangles that flank both sides of the mural).

To the right is a Zinnia flower. Zinnias can take hard knocks and still beam brightly. This is why these colorful round blossoms are symbols of acclaim. The Zinnia is the perfect flower to honor achievement.

To the left there is a Peony. Peonies can have a short bloom, reminding us to seize the day and take advantage of opportunities when they come our way.

The Pilea Plant is believed (sometimes called the UFO plant!) to bring good luck, money ad fortune to its owner.
