Artsparks

"ArtSparks was (and still is) overjoyed with our collaboration with Sabertooth! Marissa and Elisa were true collaborators, taking thoughtful time and conversation to bounce creative ideas around to bring artistic set designs for our performance to life! Not only did they create a magically innovative setting for the 400 3rd grade dancers participating in the ArtSparks performance of The Hummingbird: A Parable for the Environment, but they also invested each student and their school teachers firsthand by helping the students create portions of the set themselves. Elisa and Marissa wove real world ties to our theme of caring for the environment by helping students create materials from recycled--- or as they beautifully state it: "up-cycled "--- plastic bottles. It was a rich experience for all involved and we hope to collaborate again many times in the future."
